Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry

Christian healing ministry training in prayer, laying on of hands, and anointing with oil—formed with skill, practiced with reverence.

If you feel drawn to healing through a Judeo-Christian foundation—and you want training that is both grounded and practical—HTSM is a multi-level educational path designed to

help you serve with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

What is HTSM?

Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry (HTSM) is a multi-level training program taught from a Judeo-Christian perspective—rooted in prayer, laying on of hands, and biblical anointing. At the heart of this work is a simple truth: God is the ultimate source of healing; we are instruments of God’s grace. HTSM offers a clear, skill-building pathway for those who want to serve as a steady healing presence in their church, community, and service settings—bringing together spiritual formation, compassionate presence, and practical techniques for holistic care.

If you’re feeling a pull toward healing ministry, you’re not alone. Many students come because they want to serve from a Christian foundation, support their community more deeply, or finally receive trustworthy training in a healing tradition that has been part of Christianity since its earliest days. This program is designed to help you learn with reverence, practice with confidence, and grow in spiritual maturity as you serve.

Student Feedback

HTSM has changed me more than I can ever find words to explain. It has helped me to be less judgmental, more forgiving, and more caring. It has also helped me to be 'give up control' and leave the outcome to God while striving to be the best conduit I can be for His Healing Touch. I have learned to think and pray only for what is best for the greatest and highest good of all involved in any situation. — L. Reed, Kentucky

Student Feedback

When I began the Healing Touch coursework, I felt a combination of intimidation, skepticism, and a growing sense that I was coming home – to a home I never really knew I had. As I spent more time with clients and heard their reactions to our sessions, my understanding and confidence began to grow. It was with 202, however, that my understanding and confidence began to take hold in a whole new way. The smart, creative, and bold leadership team of ISHA, under the direction of Margaret Leslie, decided to offer 202 over Zoom. Because of that, I was allowed to see the healing power of distance healing at work, and my practice blossomed. —Debra Samuelson

Frequently Asked Questions

Student Feedback

I took my first course in HTSM in the spring of 2002, and from then until now, I have been on the ride of my life. In many ways, it's been a marvelous journey, one that I will always be grateful for. "You have healing in your hands." I have heard those words several times over the past 18 years and have looked at the theological implications of this type of ministry. It has been a journey to try to figure out just what it means to have healing in your hands. — B. Livingston, VA Chaplain
